And with expertise, comes experience. Our founder and CEO has been a professional nanny for fifteen years and knows this industry from both an employee and employed point of view. This has allowed Poppins Placement to excel in this business by combining the knowledge from both sides of the fence.

 

3. What is the start-up fee and why is it non-refundable?

 

The start-up fee for our services is $395 and is non-refundable. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with the screening, matching, and introduction processes. Regardless of the outcome of the placement, this fee ensures that we can maintain high standards throughout the selection process and provide dedicated support to our clients. It also ensures that our team’s time is valued and accounted for in the event that placement does not come to fruition.

 

4. How long does the nanny placement process typically take?

 

The duration of the placement process varies depending on the unique requirements of each family. After the initial consultation, we work diligently to present compatible nanny candidates. The timeline can be influenced by factors such as specific preferences, the availability of suitable candidates, and the family's readiness to make a decision. On average, you can expect anywhere from 2-10 weeks.

 

5. What background checks do you conduct on potential nannies?

 

Ensuring the safety and security of your family is our top priority. We conduct comprehensive background checks, including criminal history that covers all 50 states, reference verification, sexual offender registry in all fifty states, and other relevant screenings to ensure that the candidates we present are reliable and trustworthy. Upon request, we can add on additional screenings at an additional fee.

 

6. Can we meet with potential nannies before making a decision?

 

Absolutely. We facilitate introductions and interviews between your family and selected candidates to ensure compatibility. We believe it's crucial for families to have firsthand experience with potential nannies to make informed decisions. We typically set up 2-3 interviews.

 

7. What happens if the initial nanny placement doesn't work out?

 

While we strive for successful matches, we understand that circumstances may change. In the event that the initial placement doesn't work out, we offer support to both parties in finding a suitable replacement at NO CHARGE.

 

One replacement within 35 days: no charge

Second replacement within 6 months: half the initial original placement fee

 

We do NOT offer third replacements at any discounted rate. After the second replacement, you will have to pay the initial placement fees again and the process essentially starts from the beginning.
